Open Door Initiatives is a charitable organization in Houston, Texas. Our charity seeks to help children around the world and their families receive the proper education and medical support they need. Our organization was founded through the efforts of Pageant Queen Paris Ndu. (Miss Texas Jr Preteen)
Our Story
About Our Founder: Paris Ndu
Paris Ndu is not an ordinary girl; she’s a young changemaker with a heart full of compassion and a vision to change the world. Born in Houston, Texas, Paris began her journey of purpose and passion at just 6 years old. With a love for fashion, beauty, and community service, she created her website www.theleadingkid.com, proving that you’re never too young to start building your dreams. Inspired by her deep desire to help others and guided by the support of her mother, Paris didn’t stop there. She broke open her piggy bank and founded Open Door Initiatives, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education and medical support to the underprivileged, especially in Nigeria and her hometown of Houston.
Now a certified public speaker and human rights advocate, Paris uses her voice to champion causes that matter: literacy, education, health, and equality for every child. Through her programs, she’s paid school fees, donated supplies, and started businesses for young single mothers with no or low income, and supported children battling illness, all while encouraging other kids to believe in the power of giving. Paris is also the proud author of “The Leading Kid: How to Be a Successful Kid.” In her book, she shares practical tools and empowering stories to help other kids unlock their potential and lead with purpose. Whether she’s speaking at schools, donating books, or inspiring young dreamers, Paris leads with kindness, courage, and joy. Through her work, Paris reminds the world that even small hands can make a big difference and that every open door begins with a single act of hope. With a radiant smile and unstoppable spirit, Paris continues to lead by example, proving that no dream is too big and no child is too small to make a difference.
